A very short letter to my attacker, he changed me.
Oh honey, see these lips? I painted them red, the color our body sheds
And these eyes? Lined them in black, in memory of that attack
The mascara stains my face
From that memory I can't erase
I painted this face in memory of you
A tribute to the bruises, that stained my dark skin blue
