giving it all
Each little strand
Pain as it separates

Slight repair
Hope evaporates

Pieces hanging
Trying to pull tight

Force so strong
Unable to fight

Life goes limp
As each one breaks

All was severed
No scraps to take

The process
Slow as it does feel

It’s only moments
With no way to heal

Through loves cup
I take another sip

As the receiver
Continues to rip
