Nights can be the hardest time to remember why saying goodbye was the right thing to do.
slouched in the backseat
of a light blue '84 Oldsmobile
we're speeding to nowhere
and I shut my eyes
think about how life
has passed me by
and how I always seem to end
up in the backseat
roll down the window
and let the wind beat scars off my face
this is my thrill for today
long drives, closed eyes and open windows-
they always remind me of you
stop and stare, and wonder where
you are tonight, and
if I'm alone in your head
'cause on this lonely Pennsylvania highway...
I need you the most.
