A poem for a confused boy who only wishes for love...
Since the last time I saw you I can't even pretend,
To show what you mean to me there's no time to offend,
How the thoughts of you carry on the inner reaches of my mind,
How the thought of you makes my heart beat brighter than sunshine...

I know in the past we've been companions of the heart,
Even though we aren't now that doesn't mean we can't start,
If mistrust and deceit are all that's on tap,
Maybe I'm better off just being an unhappy sap...

You look at all the others but never at me,
All I get is a forward glance then you turn to free,
Your worried mind. You then ask... "How do I know he's going to be loyal and last?"
There's no way you can tell why not just take the chance?
After all there's no harm in taking a more forward glance...

Babe if only you knew how the stars form in your eyes,
If only you knew that the boy has become more and now tells no lies,
If only you knew how your beautiful hair shines,
Maybe you'd see then babe, why I wish to call you mine...
