Poem inspired by those lazy afternoons in the band room around the piano
Oh how I love it,
When you play the piano.
The music,
Takes us both away.
Mozart, Beethoven,
Anything will do,
When it's just the three of us.

She's sitting there,
Like a black bird,
Waiting for you to play a song.
Then she sings,
As your fingers touch the keys,
A song sweet as honey.
The music fills the air,
and tickles my nose,
Like a feather dancing in the breeze.

I wish you could come back
and
Play the piano for me.
