Moving to Virginia to fall in love.
I think I’ll fly out to the east coast,
Further east to the Appalachians.
Near to where my family is from,
At the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Home to where the weather is warm
And my thoughts roll along with the clouds.
My dreams drift upon the hills
Without the litter of city sounds.

If Virginia is for lovers
I’ll fly us out tonight.
We can try our luck tomorrow,
Because tonight we’ll be alright.
If Virginia is for lovers,
We’re the only ones in town.
No place I’d rather be,
Home sweet home we’ve found.

The snakes won’t bite,
But may slither through the cracks.
While the cardinals sing,
We are offered time to relax.
A song of sweet monogamy,
A man and woman’s dance.
A lifelong journey of wonder and hope,
We have found our home at last.
