A poem reflecting the pain of a teen
Pathways get twisted like rumors.
All taken in my consumers.
People who cannot wait to show off.
I don't get new clothes to impress,
just to dress.
I never believe everything i hear,
never trust anybody' that's near.
Always gotta watch my bad,
strength i never lack.
I never start anything without knowing the facts.
Why waste time to people understand.
They're not my fans.
Wishing for that one moment of a little bit of peace.
Trying to see what everyone wants strain my neck.
Turning a conversation into a shipwreck.
Foul words and hand movements.
Feeling misunderstood,
everyone thinks you're trying to act hood.
Trying to tell them the truth,
it goes in one ear and out the other.
No one ever listens to another.
They hear what they want to hear.
To do something their friend won't they never dare.
It's all in fear.
Instead of showing who they are,
they show what they want to be.
That's not me.
No reason to lie.
No reason to look fly. No reason to care.
I choose truth, while others choose dare.
