This poem was written in memory of my daughter Angel Elizabeth.
How tiny were the feet

That tiptoed into my world

How quiet was the footfall

That gently graced my heart

How little were the hands

Entwined around my soul

Such strength in teeny fingers

I feel them yet today

You left as quickly as you came

Swift and oh, so silent

You slipped away so suddenly

You left us way too soon

How deep the void where you once were

My soul empty and barren

How the strong the ache that lies within

O my Angel, can you hear me?

Wishful thinking will not bring you back

Tears and prayers will not make it so

That you will return to me

But one day I will come to you
