This poem deals with the coping of death.
Come sit by my side my feared friend.

The judgement has seemed so right, yet now I see how gentle you really are.

You hide in the shadows and wait for the time of reconing.

Then you must take me away.

So afraid I once was of you.

I once banished you from my mind, oppressed my fear of you.

Yet now I see you are not my enemy, but the caretaker that releases my misery, my concern.

So come to my side my feared friend.

Sit with me, watching me from afar until it is time.

Hold my hand letting me drift farther and farther.

You take me away and I relinquish my physical life.

So easy and calm I feel, yet all the faces looking at my weak body hating you, sparks and tears behind their eyes.

One day they to will see you are not the enemy, but just a forbearing friend.
