Lonliness and comfort
When you left me,
Pain swaddled me like a Mistress of Darkness
She unfurled her frigid cloak
and collared me in rime
Her grin was alive with foreboding pleasure
Thus, her passion for loneliness
was salvaged by my own
Her grip was taut
as she rended me from all chimera
Finally deriding me from faith

Her evil plumage was sharp
not soft
Leaving me pitifully eviscerated from all fervor
Yet, the longer I reposed in her bitter frost
the more I affirmed my berth
Her need for distance became my asylum
My drought for clemency had been slaked
Annihilated with isolation
But, satirically enough
I still share her throng
