Mother facing the fact that her daughter is becoming her own person and a young woman
Well I guess it had to happen, sooner or later
my daughter is 13, and she swears that I hate her.
No matter how hard I try, I cannot help but to cry
oh how fast the years do fly by.

No more barney and baby dolls
that has been replaced by shopping malls!
No matter what I say, it does not matter
she does not want to hear my idol chatter.

There will come a day when she needs me again
Now it may be a year or two or ten
I will patiently be waiting with open arms
for her to warm me with her many charms!
