I wouldn't say it's a poem, but in a way it is. No rhythm, no rhyme, just a meaning.
That incredible feeling.
It takes over your insides

Self realization.

You know all the answers
You even know the problems
You know who you are
You just know everything.

Yet, you can't help but feel a hole
There's something missing

But, you can't quite figure it out.

You feel absolutely amazing

Except, for what's missing.

Is happiness simply too good to be true?
Does there always have to be something wrong?

On top of the world.
Absolutely invincible.
Almost like a superhero.

But all superheroes have a weakness.
There it is. That dreaded word.

But.

I love you, but..
I really care about you, but..
I love you, but..
You're my best friend, but..
I love you, but..

One of the worst words in the dictionary, I'd say.
It can turn the best sentence into a heart breaker.

You have that great happy feeling, but...
There's always a but.

And again, there it is.
That strike of self realization.

Except now, you know what's missing.

You've finally cracked the mystery.
You've discovered that the missing thing
Was only missing due to self realization.

Funny.

You're missing your sanity.
How do you get it back though?

The answer to that can only come from the cycle

Of self realization.
