Remembering 09/11

09/11

Memories, we all would rather not keep
Haunts us forever, awake and in our sleep
Man made birds, brought down in open field
The Pentagon, had no preventive shield
Twin Towers, crumble from top to the ground
The screams, the pain, an echoing sound
The task to rebuild, structures and lives
Seems impossible, for those that survives
We are resilient, determined to move on
Our love and our faith, both very strong
On this anniversary, of that sad morning in September
The love ones we've lost, we must forever remember
