What Does One Do When Love Goes Awry
Played The Game - Played The Fool
=========================================

We met on a Sunday.
Susie was her name.
It sure was a fun day,
but it was all a game.

We walked the park, the usual path,
with lovers all around,
we played the game that lovers play
when lights are turned down.

But that was just a holiday,
a vacation just the same.
a way to chase blues away,
but it was all a game.

But now I hear her calling, calling to be free,
I hear her calling, calling out to me.
She's trapped inside a prison, I hold the only key,
I hear her calling, she's calling out for me.

She says that she loves me,
that night meant so much.
That night of heated passion
was more than just a touch.

She says my love's within her
and growing every day,
her goal is to be my bride,
do I have a debt to pay?

I play the game of romance
and have lost by the rules.
I took a chance, played the odds
and now I'm the fool.

For I hear her calling, calling to be free,
I hear her calling, she's calling out to me.
She's trapped inside a prison, I hold the only key,
I hear her calling, she's calling out for me.

Yes, I hear her calling,
but what am I to do?
Yes, I hear her calling,
but do I love her too?
