My way of coping.

The fire of hatered burns in her eyes.

For her it came as no surprise.

When it was almost time to release his hand.

And let her daddy walk into the promise land.

Why hatered of all things you ask? Why no despear?

Well for awhile it seemed like daddy just didn't care.

He tried to mak anew with memories to save.

His only problem was drinking himself into an early grave.

All the fighting & screaming she could take no more.

The emptier her heart felt with every slamming door.

How can you love someone who has a bottle for a best friend.

How can you keep holding on when you know it will never end.

With his last few breaths he says his goodbyes.

He kissed his daughter & told her don't cry.

With that he releases her hand & fades into a trance.

Never realizing he blew his second & final chance.
