A poem about friendship
When we were younger, we'd laugh and play
to us it was just another normal day
little did we know
something started to grow
A bond that would last forever

We continued on through our busy lives
forsaking the one thing that kept our friendship alive
it seemed our schedules were tearing us apart
but inside you were still locked in my heart

As we both grew older
our friendship rekindled
and through it all, our bond never dwindled
we laughed and we cried
and the moments revived
our special bond
praying it would last forever

We've been through a lot
but nothing is stronger
than the thing that we've kept in our hearts even longer
the one single thing
unbreakable, intangible
the bond that's been growing between us

So when we must say goodbye
I pray you'll say the same as I
we weren't ever friends
even from the start
we were something much greater
two souls bound together, sharing one heart
