What if one day we were to swap lives?
What if?

What if one day we were to swap lives?

Would you wake up to a brighter morning?
Or would you see a darker night
Would you just accept reality?
Or would you put up more of a fight

Maybe then you’ll realize
when you’re doing the things you do
Being me is not so easy
Through my eyes I see a different you

Would you look back to see a happier past?
Or one that’s full of sorrows
What about a brighter future
Or one that ends tomorrow

When you finally see your new image
What would you say?
Shake your head in disgust
And turn yourself away

What about the friends you’ll have
Or the family you’ll never see
Would you just cry your pain away?
And wish you were never me

Now think about the life you left
Is it too much to hope?
What if you never get it back?
Could you really cope?

Now that’s it, my friend
I'll take my life away
I hope that’s made you realize
Watch the things you say

The world is seen differently
Because not everyone is you
Just once in awhile...
Slip in someone else’s shoes

please let me know what you think of this, i welcome any comment at all =)
