A story of the sun and the sea which I related to my own experience
Dawn; the sun breaks through the horizon
The sea lits up beneath it in one swift movement
The stars it carries sparkle oh what a sight
The sun's the reason it survives the tempestuous night

The sea reaches out to the brilliant beam
But everytime it gets close it turns to steam
Sometimes at night I hear it heaves a big sigh
Swaying the boats so vigorously that the young birds cry

There was a day, the sun never rose
The sea kept on waiting, the moon above glows
It never noticed, despite the rays the sun shares
It never needs the sea, it has always just been there

The sea never gave up till its waters were frozen
It has no heart but somehow it is broken
With all the burning torches that it has
The sun never again penetrated its stony depths

If I had known this time last year
That things would turn out in this way
Would I have believed it? Would I even try?
