A riff on another poem of mine
For What It's Worth

Or more, if you'll buy it
I love the overlap of your front teeth
and the little whistle it puts in your speech.
I love your touch
and your warmth
when you hold me naked in the wind.
But it's worth nothing compared
to dashing looks.
Maybe not dashing,
here today, run off tomorrow,
but not hidden or muddied by love.
Right?
No.
your arms touch my breasts
but your whistle touches my heart.
It maybe not worth the cost,
but I'll pay the price.

For what it's worth
I love you.
