Everyone takes something different away from what they read. Why describe it?
The smoke swirls ‘round
My kingdom – built of mirrors & hope
By architects to stop my vision.
Will I escape?
Will I ever want to?
I know you’re here somewhere
I saw you so near
Through my smoke and mirrors

Flying away
         A place
I’ve never seen
Except maybe once upon a dream
Path unknown
I lost where you were, where I was
And found nothing of what had come before
         This moment.

Darklights
Sounds that I don’t recognize

What surrounds
         is not what is

The center
Where is the center?
The place where I don’t spin
Where everything falls

I can see
The future is the past
The present is nothing but the future, yesterday

I spin still
Unbalanced
I feel so free in this cell
The sky outside is here. My friend.
And the water flows free.
Down the stones of my insanity.
Eating away what was,
Making way for what will be.
