Just something that I wrote once my best friend started to get really distant from me.
This room has forgotten memories on the wall
And unreturned love in the air.
I cant breathe because of all the animosity Im starting to suck in.
What happened to us is a mystery of the century.
From dawn til dusk we had smiles and secrets
Now I dont have you coming to my aid.
Am I really that much of a bad person?
What is in her that you cant yet to see in me.
Can she understand you in ways I never could
or does she shine from the light above humanity.
Oh honey, youre only fooling yourself.
I would wait until the end of hell to make sure
we were still one.
I think and pray and hope for the sound of the next
day,
of the sound of ringing to only assure myself that
there is something still living.
Im afraid.
So afraid of what the future will hold for us
that I cling to you with every fiber I have, every bad
word I can repent.
I can only hold on until you pull away.
Im left with one finger on your shoulder,
and youre slipping away into someone else.
I long, wait, anticipate what could be going on in
your mind.
I want an understanding for the emptyness Im feeling
where you should belong.
