My draconian defender brightened up my world and now all I have are sobbing memories

                    It fell from my eye,
A tiny orb, iridescent blue-white
The colour of the wintry Scottish sky,
A tiny beast swirling, trying to fly,
It’s world to small for dragon flight.
Oh, I clutched it tight.

I clutched it so tight,
Wond’ring at my glittering dragon tear,
Dropped from my eye in the blackening night,
Spilling out this dragon tear, because fright
Had the better of me without you here.
Shall I keep it, dear?

I should keep it here.
A tiny token of your sweet power,
Draconian, against the days of nightmare fear.
Fearful clouds in a sky that are now cold-clear,
You beat them back, my secret dark was scoured.
You let me flower.

My dragon flower,
This tiny tear with its tiny beast inside,
A single memory in my pearl-shower,
Pulled from a heart over which it ever-towers.
But as I hold it, it splits, divides,
I do not decide

                    if I can keep you.
