A poem about the baby that we were adopting that was given to other parents to adopt.
How Will I Know You When You Are Grown?

I will still see the beautiful baby with the big smile.

I will hear the simple giggle and noises trying to become words.

I will not hear your footsteps because you had none yet.

I will feel your sloppy baby kisses showing me that you loved me.

I can still feel you in my arms and in my heart.

I smell your baby soap and your baby smell lingering always.

So many thigs will change,

how will I know you when I am grown?

Because my heart will leap with joy.
