Choices we all have to make
Those whispered words to a lone ear
Whisper softly, "come near, come near"

Though most dreaded yet it haunts ones soul
Is spoken so soft yet so bold

Yet many a man has tried to flee its face
Only to find that in its self is the race

Should one choose to live in fear
Or embrace a life once full yet so dear

I choose to embrace that life that was for me
And the love I had for those I did see

From the green in grass to a smile on a childs face
This is what I loved in the innocence of the Human race
