A poem written for a contest.
Entrapped in my black prison,

Pensive, but yearning to break free,

From these bonds of existence towards the light

Gazing out at the shimmering waters,

Wishing to be like that;

Ever peaceful and endlessly flowing

Wondering if someday,

I'll break free and take flight

To some distant place where everyone belongs
