Of masks we sport.

                    some baroque walls
                    a large mural
                    some gothic
                    schizophrenia? i ask.
                    excuses aid reality
                    merely to fly.
a lifetime to build my walls
                    painstakingly
                    one
                    by
                    one.

                    illusions smother me.

                    one mask below
                    a perfect mask.
                    like truth,
                    i ceased to exist.
                    for the masked truth
                    is but a lie.
i mask the essences of me
                    systematically
                    one
                    by
                    one.

                    you walk my lanes.

                    warm spring chases
                    a gray winter
                    cherry blossoms outgrow
                    a white mask.
                    stardust twinkle in
                    a moonless sky
                    you  peel my masks away
                    imperceptibly
                    one
                    by
                    one.

                    naked, the truth lives.
