A poem about the pain and solitude of being a king.
I have licked the flames of hell,
I have watched as nations fell.
I have laughed as worlds have died.
You were there right by my side...

As the planets died beneath me, all I felt was mortal pain.
Closed my eyes and tore my heart out, there beneath the cosmic rain.
After I returned to nothing, tore the skin off ancient scars,
All the worlds that I had conquered died beneath the screaming stars.

Lost and cold and nearly dead,
I recalled what you had said.
How I loathe this fucking life,
Through my stomach goes the knife.

Every breath was pure Nirvana, every touch was deepest bliss.
I could feel the endless cosmos every time that we would kiss.
Since that winter night you left me, I have never been the same.
Every soul upon the planet felt my wrath and knew my name.

Will we ever meet again?
Do you still remember when
Both of us were still alive?
I, alone, did not survive...
