Venting my frustration with America's obsession with "celebs" and what they talk about!
Let me talk

I have something to say

No, I'm not famous

I don't even get paid

Let me talk

Though I am not in politics

I haven't released a sex tape

Or been attacked by a chimp

Let me talk

Without a reality show

Without birthing 12 kids

Without being known

Let me talk

Let my voice be heard

Though I may mention Jesus

And I will spread His word

Let me talk

Let me have a chance to share

Something worth listening to

With substance to bare

Let me talk

And silence the ones

Who make Americans look shallow

Who make Christians look dumb

Let me talk

I have lots to say

And I don't need my name in lights

Heck, I don't want to be paid

Let me talk

And let me scream

Let me write

Or let me sing

Let us talk

The invisible ones

Who watch and listen

As the world comes undone

Let us talk

Just let us share

Let us make a difference

Let us care

**I'm not sure if I'm the only one who gets frustrated when watching the world turn people like the "Octo-mom" into a celebrity. I don't want to hear about another person's sex tape, and I don't want to hear about how horrific it was being attacked by a chimp. I don't care to see a marriage fall apart on television or watch someone be ripped apart for their beliefs. That is what inspired this little rant! :)**
