We had to finish the phrase "A pitcher of bitterness..." This is what I came up with.
A pitcher of bitterness will shut the heart down,
Your body throws a fit.
Hate goes around and around,
Creating a bottomless pit.

Your vision clouds with hate,
Your heart blocks with cold.
You have a dirty slate,
You feel lifeless, done for, and old.

I'll tell you, my sweet,
Lose this loving hate.
I'll meet you in the sheets.
This is our fate.
