It's about a girl who is in the uncomfortable position of turning down someone else's love
The silence.
It is terrifying.
Mortifying.
Feels like dying.
Desperate to hear those words you’ve said.
Your smile nearly kills me
And it thrills me
Every time the
Words you’ve spoken flutter through my head.
I very nearly stutter, stumble,
Cry or fumble,
Desperate for a good reply to give.
Inside I recognize
This huge demand you’re hoping
I will comprehend.
I comprehend it all.
“I love you”
Those words I now recall.
Forever I shall hate
Myself and how your heart
I’ll have to break
But now it ends.
No further shall I stall.
“I love you not.”
