This is a poem I wrote after many failed attempts to help a friend. (Title Suggestions?)
Why when I want to say one thing,
I say another?
Instead of healing,
I end up hurting?

Why do I even try,
When you're so obviously blind?
I'm just me.
I might as well just get up and leave.

Your ears are covered,
Your eyes are blind,
Your heart is closed,
Your trust hard to find.

How can I lead you through the darkness,
When you won't take my hand?
You're fading to less and less.
I'm afraid for you my friend...

I lent you a hand,
And you slapped it away.
I gave you my heart,
And you broke it anyways.

I'm trying to help you,
But there's only so much I can do,
When you won't listen to me,
When I speak the truth...
