when all else seem to fail, look up not out
Job, Peter, and Me
Their is a time when all I can do is listen to a clock go tick, tick, tick
To learn I have no power to prevent the time it just lick, lick, lick
Like an inferno set ablaze all in its path is just a wick, wick, wick
To have this moment then not have the next can make you sick, sick, sick
I've done that I could but not prevail, a flapping foot in the wind I just kick, kick, kick
Who can I call, who can I tell, they know not my story, on me they'll pick, pick, pick

Why laugh when really you want to cry, if only the liquid would fall from your eye
I wont lie today is a very good day to be in a bad way to give up and die
I've reached for the sky found not my pie, gave life my best yet still no answer why
No shoulder to rest and sigh, no achor set to tie, adrift only in this heat to fry

Half in the grave, I keep my hands raised, I know I must keep them lifted, lifted, lifted
Not yet who I am, things not as they seem, in truth I'm just shifted, shifted, shifted
Plots not mine, yet for the world to see, how in Satan's plan I'm sifted, sifted, sifted
I play this role, yet as I count blessings I see God keeps me gifted, gifted, gifted
A race to win, upon my knees I cry LORD forgive where I have drifted, drifted, drifted
Battle His, victory mine, He heard my plea and upon His wings I'm lifted, lifted, lifted
