A poem about dreams.
Time flies when you're having fun
What about when you're dreaming
There's three kinds of dreams
If of course they all go by the same name
Let's experience them all

Light
That's what hits first
Someone you know, something you love
Not sure what you feel
You only know you're comfortable
Colours brighten it up
At the end of the day it fades to black

Nothingness
No emotion
No sign of dreaming, just black
No person walking, no shapes in the shadows
Only mere existence
Are you awake, are you asleep
You never know until you wake up

Darkness
Panic and terror slam you
A neverending cycle of horror
One bad thing leads to the next and never ceases
Nobody around to hear your screams
Wish you could escape, but it won't work
Then you wake, drenched in sweat

So there we go
We've travelled across the span of our minds
Gone from good to bad and home again
But don't cry
You'll do it all again when you close your eyes tonight
