Intense desires of loving someone
Prayer to thee comes from my heart,
Oh Muse of love! Be generous to me;
Under the blue why am I kept apart?
Lo! My pains, there’s none to see.
Am I not a worthy one for rewards?
Meander why should I alone in world?
I do also praise you like the bards,
Can’t you undo the fate that’s swirled?
Holding my hand be with me will you
Along my side in concourse of time?
Thou, oh Muse, in love has grew,
Touch my soul, my Muse sublime!
Ominous thoughts do come in mind
Parted from you the moment I am;
And the dreadful qualms make me blind,
Darkness would not let me be calm.
Hear, for thou, I long how much;
Years have passed, you cared not least;
And nobody shall admire thee such,
Yet all I desire is to be your priest.
