poem im working on
To linger each day in exile, to see no other
Entombs my soul, an absence of friend or lover
Summons my season's winter to it's tumultuous fury
Remnants of my heart turn to ice cold snow flurries

The harshest winds seething me through and through
Desolate, darkened skies slowly ascending into view
Sad, I can see no flicker of light lying buried in this heart
A futile lamp I am, in this insipid darkness; a world apart

Feeling distant from all souls, all minds, a mere touch
Emptiness draws in the madness, its all become too much
Somber truth be told, this winter shall bring new release
My withering heart shall freeze and my tears eternally cease

I call unto the winter to bear witness and perceive
The wilting of my divine soul's, white flowering
A contempt of all; for my heart knows no reprieve
Any love or kindness I knew, is now only souring

Grave's darkness comes, shadowy demons ensnare my dreams
Hearing nothing, but the vague murmur of my organ's weeping
The cross I bear is witness to my own extinction, it seems
This solace I call; Exile in Winter is the gift my heart is keeping
