A single poem
Slowly it builds,
a slight throbbing
robbing my body,
until it's all i can feel.
Each pulse,
strong. hard.
almost proud
of the strength
it tears away,
and when i close my eyes,
a final surrender,
every thought crashes,
every moment burns,
and alone it
escapes.
Uncertainties prevail,
no matter how fast,
no matter how strong
the beating inside.
It's all I can hold on to,
a slight hope,
that joke of a promise
of the one thing
I've desired
for all too long.
