Shy young man sees pretty girl across the room, perhaps at a dance.
Why can't I just open my mouth
and speak to you?
Will you smack me down
and break my pride?
More likely you will only smile.
I can't make my head listen to
what my heart has to say.
But you can help
when I open my mouth and say...
"Hello!"
