Something I wrote three years ago.
A Glimpse of Beauty

I struggle now
like never before.
A glimpse of beauty
is now a closed door.

I'm so distracted
and life is a blur.
I yearn for things
to be as they were.

My perception is illusion
My reality gone wry.
Things have changed
and I don't know why.

Quiet please!
I need to ponder
To sort my thoughts
trying not to wander.

You will only see
the smile I wear.
What's deep in my heart
is mine alone to bear.
