Inspired by the Song of Solomon.
Poet's Note: My wife does not believe I'm an "eye guy."

Twins of a Gazelle

Two fawns, having come out of the woods,
make me happy as you know they should,
and while loving you is always good,
I’d stare at them all day, if I could.

This the lonely thought, ‘til I gulp your gaze,
for your eyes in my sight always amazes,
and being the eye-guy is not just a passing phase.
Instead it’s the cause, the way of my ways.

Your neck, the strange and lovely ivy tower,
holding your head like a stem on a flower,
your eyes revealing your midnight powers.
Wield them gently please, this midnight hour.

Your eyes, like jewels in a treasure box,
filled with lacy long silky socks.
Them jewels, not the typical rocks,
they breath and weave, as my knees knock.
