A poem about ones' self-esteem.
Esteem

Quietly, it fades away
What was left of it to start.
Beaten and broken, not strong enough
She’s been here many times before.
The line between holding on and letting go
Just got a lot finer.
And the tightrope is worn and ready to tear
Her days are becoming numbered.
What will happen, once it’s gone?
When she has finally disappeared?
She has no say in this matter
She hasn’t for some time.
The fall will be long and hard
But she’ll have some time to think.
And once she hits the bottom
Will she rise again?
