A poem about the American spirit
They stood together so tall and stern
Built by man to last to the end of time
Destroyed by men to watch them burn
Who would perform such a hideous crime

That morning in September no American will overlook
The news showing pictures engrained in our mind
It’s our pride they went for but only ruble they took
Such an ugly day for our world and mankind

But our country came together by the end of that day
Americans united with pride over all
For the dead and the lost we all still pray
But brave Americans answered the duty call

The terrorists looked to scare us and fill us with doubt
But little do they know what the land of the free is about
