In memory of Jessica Lee Monroe RIP (1981-2009) this is a poem on our last moment
on that day there were no signs,
there were no hints no clues at mind,
the beautiful day that turned to hell,
the day you left, that day i fell,
you said one day, right out of the blue,
i promise i wont let anything bad happen to you,
and with my trust i steered right ahead,
not knowing it was gona be you instead,
i closed my eyes as i fell in love with your smile,
while you drove the car music loud and in style
i would kiss you when the car had stopped
always kissing me back without a second thought
that one day, that kiss would be our last
that we would lose eachother, in that car speeding fast
as i looked at you as the car took flame
i noticed you didnt answer me, after calling your name
and that moment seconds before i was saved
you slipped away, as i held your hand and stayed
you always promised it would all be ok
we would be together, we would find a way
that our love it was beautiful it was new and was rare,
and if anything bad happened you'd always be there
but god let you down, he made you a liar
he took you away, leaving me in the fire
and that fire didnt scare me, i was ready to fly
i wanted to follow you, hold your hand in the sky
i will never fear death, because i will see you again
and i will never forget that true love survives within.
