I simple instruction on how to make life make sense.
Perhaps they're all among us.
The people
The gifted ones
The ones with the voices and the power
To bend our will in any way they please

Perhaps they walk among us
You pass them on the street and think nothing of it
Maybe you can see it in the voice of a child struggling to cope with the world
The gift of change

There was a girl.
A pretty girl
With a dream
She dreamt of change
Of a different world
She was one of the few
The gifted

The people
They trusted her
Her peers thought higly
Her teachers gave her praise
But she had a dream
A dream like no other

She could stand up and captivate audiences
From all walks of life
She could draw them in
Make them beleive in what she was saying
She was gifted

But the world will never know that

One morning
While walking to school
She was hit
The car didn't even stop

And as she lay in the hospital bed
With people swarming in everyday to offer their support
She felt her dream slip away
As the life drained from her frail body
Her mind began to slip
Her words became slurred
And in her final hours
She left us a message

She said:
Do not let the presures of the world keep you down
Take a good look around you
Take everything in
Then you will see what is truly important
A dream will never become the truth unless you make it so
And you cannot make it so
If no one ever hears it
And this is my mistake
My dream will die with me
But I ask that you make your own dreams
So that tomorrows truth may be more gentle
And the dreams grander

As the fire in her eyes died out
And the life in her bones faded
And we watched her dream disappear
She suddenly shot up declaring:
I DIE NOT IN VAIN!
FOR MY SPIRIT IS GOING TO HAUGHT THE CRAP OUT OF YOU PEOPLE
SO IN REALITY IT IS SIMPLY MY BODY THAT IS DYING!
EAT THAT SOCIETY!

And then she feel back
Closed her eyes
And never looked back.

There died her genious
Her gift
The world will never be able to share it
And it makes you wonder
About the kid down the hall
What he could have been
What he could have done

And the people you pass on the street?
Who are they?
What will they do?
Whose live will they change?

And in turn one looks at oneself and asks
Who am I?
What I am doing?
And why?

And suddenly.
Everything makes sense.
