Random poem that tells a small story that I wrote out of boredom.
I never truly understood how much you truly cared

You never stopped holding me

I thought I was suffocating

You never went a minute without saying “I love you”

I thought you were really saying “Let me in your pants.”

You always called

I tried to avoid them

Everything you did I ran away from

Nothing you could do or say made me want to stay

I realized that you DID mean “I love you”

When I didn’t

That you filled EVERY kiss with passion

When I didn’t

That you did never want to let me go

When all I wanted to do was say goodbye

When I realized this I could no longer lead you on

I had to let you go because you deserved so much better

Someone that would allow you to hold them forever

Someone that means “I love you”

Someone that would cherish every kiss

I hope you understand that this is why I am saying

GOODBYE
