The daily walk of an elderly gentleman.
The Old Man

Craning around
Over shoulder
As far as stiff
Hip lets him.

Waving his cane
As he threatens,
“why I oughta.”

Shuffling along
Again turning,
Backward glance
And a huff.

He mumbles.
Mumbles and shuffles
Toward the doughnut
Shop, where

Other old men
Are waiting.
