A story about coping with loss for a contest at 55 words exactly.
The picture in his hand stares up to his eyes.
He sees his friend Bobby, knows he is forever gone.
"Taken from me by depression," he sighs.
Always a sigh, which reminds him of then.
He was caught completely unaware, but now he understands him.
And the empathy he feels is too late for himself.
