About two good friends
Forever
We were always together
That’s how it’d be forever
Or so we thought
We always agreed that we wouldn’t fight, scream or yell
Well that was before the summer of 2009 fell
Going to a beach party sounded like a lot of fun
So I went to her house to get ready for a night of fun
We did our nails, hair and makeup; boy were we a sight
We jumped in the jeep and headed to the party
We got there and noticed a lot of drinking
I looked over at her and she was white as a ghost and was shaking
She wanted to leave, I told her to grow up
I was going to have a good time and so was she
We started yelling and arguing, we both said harsh things
I just walked away, after an hour or so I was wasted
I kept drinking, but it all tasted the same, time to go home
I walked out to the jeep and in the passenger sat was my friend asleep
I got in the drivers seat and began to drive home
As I was heading driving down the road she woke up
She started yelling at me to pull over and to let her drive
I just yelled back “I’m fine! I can drive!”
All of a sudden there was something in my eyes
It was bright and blinding
The last thing I remember was the jeep swerving and sliding
I woke up to tubes all around me, and beeping
I glanced over only to see my mom weeping
I was scared and in pain, where was, my friend?
I looked over at my mom with questioning eyes
I got my answer from her eyes
My friend, who I was going to be with forever, was dead
I killed her.
