This was a challenge set at my monthly writing group meeting.
On the 3rd tuesday of every month, a few of us gather at my local library for a 'Writers Group'.  One of the members said that she had an excersise for us.  We each gave the first word that came to mind and then had 10 mins to write something useing all of the words.  This was my attempt.

Words that must be used: Speed, Sponge, Inspirational, Danger, Perdita (a name), Pants and Connection.

As I looked at Perdita, my Dalmation dog, I made an inspirational connection; a poem I would write with speed and danger.  The paper soaks up the ink from my pen like a sponge.  I finish my poem and read it through hoping for a work of art but only one word enters my mind - 'pants'.  I give a sigh; a useless poem for a useless dog.
