This poem was inspired by the background on my phone which reminded me of a phoenix
The silver phoenix
Burns brightly in me
Dissolving my heart
Killing me inside
And you don’t even realize
You are my
Silver phoenix
You are the reason
I am slowly dying
Hiding the pain
With a broken mask
Slowly depleting
Never again to let go
Never again to let
The mask fall
For another person
Never to let them see
Who I really am
Because if I do
I’ll only be hurt again
I’ll lose a piece of me
My silver phoenix
Will only grow stronger
Burning inside me
I’ll no longer exist
In this broken world
Of pain and deception
A place of lies
Of anger and sadness
Life and death
Are meaningless
It’s all your fault
My beautiful
Silver phoenix
