Came to me in the halls while walking to classes
Pairs of hollow eyes
drowning in feverish hope
that their feelings are
received
and genuine,
pushed into
this suffocating muck
by the ever pursuing
hand of loneliness,
they grope and feel
but do they truly believe
they've escaped it's grasp
